discerning voices....silence is golden

sitting at the computer thinking about what to write and the suddenly the sound of a military plane flying overhead became so deafening, that it drowned out the kids noise outside as well as the soft voice of an instructor and her student in my living room. I'm thinking that's how things are sometimes, we hear all kinds of things and you can kind of pick out and know certain noises from things going on around when all of a sudden, the loudness of a certain voice or sound suddenly drowns all of the others out, so what's my point here? Well, I am actually working and teaching myself how to stay grounded and not be moved by anything that sounds out of the ordinary. I have to admit I have been hearing too many sounds lately and I am embarassed to say that I have paid too much attention to it and then added some of my own, but, today, I make a promise to myself that I will practice more and more silence...the Bible said it is golden....

great week-end to you...
