everything has a meaning

in colors..... green is growth and blue is divine or of heaven...

in names..... every name given out means something.. so careful on this one... the Word of God says, Jesus was given that name because it means "Savior, " which he is. His other name is "Emmanuel" which means God is with us, and He is.

in circumstances.....when the same one happens too often, then we need to find out what is the meaning of this? God has the answer, could be something from before and was never taken care of.

everything has a meaning, let's stop living in denial, inquire of the Lord, He has the answer. Abraham did, Moses did, Joshua did, Samuel did and David did.

I have no idea who this is for.... but, it's for me too... a hui ho malama pono

decision making

everytime I come to the point of making a decision, I have to make sure that I am considering all that matters. The first thing to do is to pray, second thing to do is WAIT! on the Lord. Israel's armies and their King David were geared up for battle against the Philistines, so David asked the Lord whether he should go to war, and God told David to go and circle the enemy and attack, but the attack is to be done after David hears the rustling of the leaves of the mulberry trees. Now, if David had attacked b4 the leaves were rustled by the Lord of Hosts, David's timing would have been off. Look at the instructions, David had generals and 30 mighty men under his command, could you just hear them saying...(this is my thinking), hey, what's happening with the old man? is he getting senile? he wants us to wait to hear a bunch of leaves rustling in the wind? Thank God David did the right thing, because he left for us believers the best lesson in dm.

I had a decision to make and today at church, God's Word spoken through his servant gave me the answer. It was not after the sermon, it was during the first part of the sermon. Praise the Lord! came home and shared it with my confidant and he said he too felt the same thing. So now, God's plan is our plan... hahaha... exciting this walk with God's Holy Spirit. whew....

go! ye into all the world

interesting our discussion last night.... our Lord Jesus Christ said Go! and someone said what if we went and then just come home after a day of outreach and pray to the Lord to work in the hearts of those people that they will come to church or maybe go to another church close to them? now this kind of thought poses a question, at least to me, I am not saying it is a bad thought, all I am saying is, Jesus said to go! make them disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. So, now to me, I think of how Philip did his evangelism program, he proclaimed Christ in Samaria, did miraculous signs and people paid attention to him, then he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, men and women received this great news about Jesus and got baptized. If we read the whole chapter, never once did the apostles Peter, John and Philip said a prayer to God to send the people to the church close to them or anywhere. Philip did his job there then he left, Peter and John did too and they left, so who do you suppose was working after all the 3 left?... Paul said later, I plant, Apollos water, but GOD! makes it grow. No matter what we think or how we pray, it does not change the fact that Jesus wants his people to move forward! GO!

thinking out loud

gotta keep it quiet..

the locator

I'm watching this show called the "locator"...I get misty eyed everytime I watch families reuniting...it's neat what this guy does, but you know who knows where people are? yup you guessed it... all we gotta do is mention the name of the person to HIM and he sends his ministering angels to seek 'em out and b4 you know it, a meeting takes place, whether online, in person or through the mail...no one escapes God's eye...

when God shows up

made some sandwiches for sale tonight at our snackbar, I laid the snacks down and immediately disappointment came to me when I saw the people eating McD's...we had sandwiches cookies, chips and nice sweet japanese crackers...just did what I was suppose to do but I was thinking to myself, I do not want to take those sandwiches home, the Lord must have heard me, the students bought small snacks, but after class, the faculty sat down and had their snacks, ate up all the sandwiches and had a nice little chat among themselves..I counted my turn in, I was surprised, it was more than I expected...amazing! God shows up at the oddest times..this time, HE showed up after all the classes, not during the time I expected him too...

I love you so much Jesus, lover of our souls. Mahalo Iesu...

what's on top of the mountain?

(1) fresh air; (2) beautiful view of heaven where God is; (3) beautiful view of the creation of God on all sides; (4) a nice place to talk to God after a sacrifice of praise and worship (5) Abraham went to the top with a heavy heart because of the command God gave Him, but, when he and his son Isaac got there, the Lord went before them and prepared a lamb that took the heaviness of Abraham's heart away; (6) Moses went to the top and ended up having a face to face encounter with the God of the Universe; (7) Elijah went to the top and God gave him faith higher than Mt. Carmel to call down fire from heaven (8) Jesus went to the top and did the ultimate thing, that no one else can do. He willingly offered HIMSELF to be the sacrifice needed to redeem all God's creation which includes you and me.

a new creature

I'm so grateful to God that the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write this down..2Cor.15:17..."if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new." I saw some pictures of some old friends and although we were close at one time, memories of how they hurt me came flooding in, how they used me and laughed at me...but, the Holy Spirit reminded to me the verse above. I am no longer the old person who was embarrassed, I am a new person, who has the wisdom of God, the steadfastness of the Holy Spirit's work in me, so what do I do? instead of feeling hurt again, I rejoice for the great things God is doing for them and yes, they still are my childhood friends. Christ has made us all new people.

downsizing...

it's good for everything in our lives...I'm there right now. Just gotta ask the Lord to prioritize what I need to downsize. I know, somebody might think, what on earth is she talking about? but, I believe that there is a point in our lives where we have to ask the Holy Spirit to downsize what He wants to in our lives as well as put those things in priority and then He can downsize them the way He wants.

peacemaker

meditating on Jesus' words this morning...(Matt.5)...Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called children of God..during a nice long walk in my neighborhood and had a nice talk with one of my best friends, I agreed...even if I am right about something and if no peace is coming out of the situations then I am not a Peacemaker and I am not being a child of God...in other words, I have no right to be called a child of God. isn't that right?....so I made up my mind on my way back home, I will practice this everyday of my life, to be a Peacemaker...because I want to hear Jesus say to me when I go home...Welcome Home, Child of God!

First Love

first love is like an old landmark...it's where you knew someone and just totally fell head over heels inlove with him/her..you remember the place, the smells in the air, the day, etc...after many years that event becomes part of the faded past of our lives, it's hidden somewhere with all the distractions of hurts, frustrations and the unnecessary busyness of our lives. You know the Church in Ephesus was like that. They became so involved in so many things that the Spirit told John, write a letter to them, tell them where they are with God. The Spirit told the Apostle to tell the Church they have left their first love.

We heard God's Word yesterday in Church, reminding us of that...toe foi ile mea sa e iloa ai le manuia....there is never a better day then right now, this very minute and second to make a fresh commitment to the Lord...

manuia le aso..
