new things

today... is an interesting day... it's an interesting day, because the Bible says ...this is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. it's interesting also because the Bible says..today if you hear the Lord's voice, obey. And, when we rejoice and obey the Lord.. we will have new things in our lives.

a breath of fresh air

having the Holy Spirit of God breathing on all of us and in everything that concerns us. God told the Prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the winds to come and breathe on the dry bones and the Spirit of God breathed on the dry bones and they all came back to life. Come Spirit of God and breath on us... breath in to every situation and every condition in our lives that concerns us. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us all a breath of fresh air...

Hebrews 2:1-3

"We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received it's just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?"

May God give us all ears to hear what His Spirit is saying to the Church now.

holiness

what is holiness? I read in the Bible that without holiness, no one will see God, I took the dictionary out and looked to find if the meaning of holiness is the same as what I had. My thought was holiness is how I should talk, walk, dress, and act. But upon looking in the dictionary I had to go to the root word holy to find out what it is, holy means sacred and reverence or show deep respect for. You know what's frightening to an older person like me, is that we play with words so much that we have no respect for things that we need to pay attention to, the devil is so subtle that what we think is right is actually demons working through us because of the hardness of our hearts. Do you know that if our hearts refuse to yield to God's word that God will allow things to happen just the way you want it but God is not in it? In the book of Ezekiel God told the prophet to let the priests continue to serve him and do the work in the temple, but they cannot come near him? Jesus himself even said at the end some will come and say, Lord, Lord, we healed the sick, cast out demons etc., in your name and what did Jesus say his answer will be, Go away, I do not know you. Jesus said, everything will pass away, but HIS word will not pass away...so, what is holiness then? this is my opinion, holiness is you and I having a teachable heart, weighing the consequences of our actions against God's word, a heart that wants to please God more than ourselves or others. A heart that is not crying out me, me, me, all the time. Holiness comes from a heart that is clean and pure, not selfish and full of pride. Holiness is living the Word of God whether we like it or not!
I pray that the Spirit of God will give us ears to hear what He is saying to the Church now!

there is a time when a right becomes so right that it is actually very wrong....

I found out about that much later after I have realized I should have prayed more about what I thought was right and not be so emotional with my decision...

it's raining! yaye

it's been really muggy today in honolulu, the vog has been so thick you could actually see it thinly spread out over the land, sulphuric smell, yuckkkkkky!!!!! it wasn't but more than an hour when the rain came pouring down. So, right now, I am listening to the pitter patter of the raindrops on the tent in our backyard, lightning, wow! haven't seen that for awhile, oh wait, is that thunder I hear? goodness, that's loud! but, it's raining still and I just love it. Water cleansing the outside works like the Holy Spirit who cleanses our inside and makes it fresh and new... thank you God for the rain and I especially thank you for the Holy Spirit!

a nagging feeling ...

do you ever get a nagging feeling like you need to be somewhere that you don't exactly want to be? I do, it seems the more I feel it the more I know I gotta do something about it. I always want to visit home and just stay there and go help some little church, but, this nagging feeling that's inside of me points me somewhere else. Not home that's for certain, it's places that I have told myself I do not want to return to, had enough of it, lived there for many years and just don't like it... Oh, they are beautiful, exciting, lots of opportunity and just adventurous and many things to do. So, what do I do about this? Lord, I need an answer from you.

things we don't pay attention to

had a good rest today, with the exception that a few times now, I have noticed that if not for the angels God commanded concerning me and family, there would have been some unpleasant situations that might have happened. Sometimes we don't pay much attention to the doors of our houses or checking things around the houses, but these are open invitations to the enemy. I must have slept so soundly that when I woke up, the door to my room was ajar. Heard someone walking around in the house, thought oh could be someone home, looked outside it was dark, got up feeling so refreshed, looked at my phone it was 7:30 p.m., used the little room, went outside and found the kitchen door wide open, walked outside to the garage and no one was there, dryer open and thought to myself, ok, if no one was home, who was the last one out? who was walking around in our house when I was sleeping. This thought came to my mind, this has not been the first time this happened, and this is the picture of little things we don't pay attention to, and it gives the enemy an entrance into our lives.

silence is golden

still learning this one... I keep telling myself, I will only talk when someone asks me and if not I will just keep quiet. But, it's not working well, dear Holy Spirit, I am in total need of your help in this matter.

doing our best

Jesus said, and when we have done all that we can do, just stand and remember we are nothing but servants... what I am trying to say is, when we want to do something or if something is given to us to do, we should give it all our best. Jesus said, when we have done all that we can do, so if we start to do something then we say, ok, that's enough, let somebody else finish it or that's all I'm gonna do, then actually we have not done all that we can do. To me, it seems like the Lord is talking about completing tasks that are given to us. Do not do incomplete work, we are to do our best at what was given for us to do and do it completely.

an idea

do you have a great one and haven't told anyone about it? why not tell God? he knows how to make people listen to you. Good thing also is He can tell you the best to show it. Too early might not be good, others will kill it. Too late might not be good, somebody else might have the same and just jumped on it. So? what will thou do?

can I change my mind?

When my son was young, I used to try and explained to him that a person has a right to change his/her mind about what he/she said he/she was going to do. Sometimes he would understand what I am saying, other times he would say but he/she lied. Interestingly, he never thinks about himself doing the same thing, it wasn't till after he graduated from high school that it clicked in his mind, everyone has a right to change their mind about what to do.

When the new happens on earth!

We must learn how to observe the happenings around us in a spiritual sense, because when things change on earth, the spirit side is also affected. It's a time to watch and see what God is going to do. When the babe was born in the stable, the heavens opened and the angelic choir from heaven came down and sang over the earth. When the same babe now a man hung between heaven and earth, the heavens opened and lightning came down and tore the curtain in two. When the saints were gathered in the upper room praying, there was the sound of the rushing mighty wind, then tongues of fire descended upon the heads of the 120 announcing the arrival of the Holy Spirit of God on earth. May the Lord give us wisdom like Mary had to say, I am a servant of the Lord, let it be so done to me as you say... Praise Jesus forever.

elections

this is supposedly the world system to remove current officials from their posts and replace them with new ones to lead the city, state or country for a certain amount of time. In the kingdom of God, there are no elections, He appoints and places the person wherever he pleases. Funny thing is, during the elections before the people vote, God has already chosen the person for each position, what matters to HIM is that HIS purposes be fulfilled. So, we pray, we listen and we vote.
