notes from hinesville, Georgia
It has been a rough trip getting to the state of Georgia. The night we left home to come here, you could almost feel as if the devil was trying to stop us from getting to do what God sent us to do. There was turbulence in the atmosphere and an incident happened in the plane right infront of us. But, although this was going on, God opened a window for us to witness to a young man who was on his way home to Ohio, to see his family before deployment, what a joy it was to share Christ with him. After we prayed for him, we just kept on praying for everyone in the plane as well as for ourselves. I did not realize that we'd lose a day getting to Savannah, I'd be lying if I did not say that it was a long arduous journey. But, I wanted to say that to say this; in the midst of the storm we were in, God calmed the storms in the heart of a precious young soldier, who is about to be deployed, we told him, you are on our prayer list. In the hustle and bustle of the flight crew helping the doctors to treat a passenger, we prayed for someone's healing and God honored our prayer and healed him in mid-air. In the bumpy atmosphere that seemed like it was so long, we leaned more to the wind and trusted our God who sent Him to be our helper and comforter. In the length of the many gates and long and huge airports, we made new friends with total strangers. In the process of trying to get to our hotel and with roadblocks everywhere, until we finally got to (Savea Lane), we saw the most beautiful Church built by Samoans, in the midst of a piece of land approximately 5 acres circumference. I can honestly say, this is one trip I will never forget. Because there is an Obed-Edom who has opened up his arms and said, bring the ark of the Lord to rest at my house. Blessed is the man, who opens his heart and his hands to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Oh yes, I pray that I will be picked sometime again, to come to Ludovici in Liberty County, Georgia.
