make a plan
be sure to make a plan that will make you a sower and not an observer in the New Year. The Bible says "those who observe the wind will not sow."

accurate settings
A few days ago, I was doing my daily reading in the Word of God, and I came across Colossians 3: 1,2. I don't why on this certain day, part of that verse just seemed like it jumped up and caught my eye. "Setting the heart on things above." I thought wow, I always do like everyone does, quote the part that says, "set your mind on things above." But, there's more to the verse, and for the first time ever, I noticed that setting our hearts and minds accurately will be the best thing we can do for ourselves this season. We begin then, by doing 2 things.
**
1. Set our hearts on the things above. It means we are to desire and to strive for those things above A servant of the Lord says, we not only seek heaven; we must also think heaven. Our allegiance to Christ takes precedence over all earthly allegiances.
**
2. Set our mind on things above means giving such things a large place in our thought life-seeing to it that the inner nature is bent toward God. It does not mean that we are suppose to withdraw from all activities, but, we will no longer live as if this world is all that mattered.

We wish all the readers of this blog a very Merry Christmas! May you and your family be blessed.
