purity
I am so blessed and encouraged by this, Jesus said "But give for alms those things that are within; and behold everything is clean to you."(RSV); the Living Bible translation makes it a bit easier, "Purity is best demonstrated by generosity."; and the Samoan Bible translation says, "o mea uma e te faia, ia faia ole mea alofa, ona mama lea o mea uma ia te outou." The Lord impressed that on my heart from one of my journal writings...I can't tell you enough how the Lord's Spirit is making me take a new look at all the things I say and do to others because of that. Purity is not so much changing how we dress, act or think, it is just like Jesus said...Purity is doing and giving from the heart without no conditions. Now, that's my opinion, you are entitle to yours but this to me is similar to what the apostle Paul said also...there's 3 things that remain, faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is LOVE. So, in other words, when we do things for someone or give things to someone or to some cause, give it as a gift of love and you will feel good, clean and happy inside of you...I just thought of this, even a cup of water we give out of the generosity of our hearts, Jesus said, it has a reward. Why? because we gave it as a gift to the thirsty. a hui ho.

hearing the voice that matters
there are just so many sounds around us, that we need to know how to really know the voice that really matters to us. I heard this process in how to hear that voice.
There is always something that's out of the norm in the place where you will hear him..did you know that burning bushes are very common in the deserts of the middle east, but Moses was curious because he saw the fire burning the bush, but the bush was standing without getting zinged, that is uncommon..it can waken one's curiosity and goes seeking for answers...right? so, when you start searching for answers, you find that you really need to be alone to hear that voice...and these three things can happen when you withdraw yourself from everything to hear that voice..
1. withdrawing from the norm means you will be in a very lonely place, but not to fear, the owner of the voice is watching your every move.
2. the place where you withdraw too can be made into a special place for you and the one whose voice you are wanting to hear, believe me, the environment can be changed into a quiet and sacred place where you know you are in a different place from all the others you been to.
3. now that you have made the time to withdraw from all the things that keeps you distracted, now that you have waited and just sat quietly, you will suddenly hear the voice you have been pursuing and the first words you will hear, is your name, the second set of words will be the owner of the voice introducing himself to you, and the third set of words will be telling you what to do.
happy hearing...faalogologo lelei...ua fia tautala atu lava le Atua ia te oe. o lona siufofoga e sili atu i lo se isi lava leo i lenei lalolagi.

morning news
my day plays out like this.....I get up at 5a.m., prepare for work, then heads out the door..now as I come out the door I'd say "good morning Holy Spirit," look up at the sky and catch a glimpse of the stars or morning star before the daylight sets in, now during the seconds I'm looking at the stars I feel the cool morning breeze on my face and the freshness of the air awakening every cell in my body, kinda like renewed energy and strength to tackle the day and it's responsibilities. Now if you are up at the same time I am...that's heaven's morning news...it is announcing, good morning child of God, your dad wants to say he cares for you, he's watching over you and don't worry you are strong, you can do anything and handle anything today. Keep your head up and smile, peace is yours from your father...
now, I get in the car, get dropped off at the bus stop then go to town to my office, put the coffee pot on, turn on our office tv...then earth morning news comes on...there's an accident on the merging lanes of h1 and h2 highway, some person fell off a cliff yesterday, the people in cali are being threatened by mudslides, a father admits his love-child after many months of denial and bunch of people are going to decide whether we live the way God designed or we go the other way...what a difference right? mmmmmmm mmmmmm
so, we again come to a point where we gotta make a choice...whose report of the morning news should we accept?...I don't know about you, but I know which one I pick...
the one that greeted me in the early parts of the morn..
a blessed day to you in Jesus' name...

what's in your bag?
did you know that whenever you leave your house you pack things to take with you? for example, if you are a lady you pack your purse with cosmetics, magazines, candies and lots of junk (trust me I know)...if you are a man and have a pack bag you pack it with a sandwich, some books, maybe something to drink and so forth...the one thing we tend to forget, we, our persons are considered in some ways a bag. The bible says our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, in my opinion, it means that we pack things in our bodies too that like we pack our bags. ...Question, are we packing the right things inside us? is Jesus one of the things you packed? I sure hope so...
good morning to you,
good morning to you,

lost opportunities comes from slothfulness sometimes
heard an awesome sermon today at church, you know the story about the 10 virgins...the thing that is so surprising was when they were waiting for the bridegroom, it was getting long and late,..this was an opportune time for the 5 foolish ones to go and get some more oil, but they preferred to sleep...well, you know the rest of the story, what they could have done then, they did during the time when the cry came, the bridegroom is coming!
May the Holy Spirit help us to do the right thing at the right time so we don't lose out.
a hui ho,
May the Holy Spirit help us to do the right thing at the right time so we don't lose out.

Put your hand in the hand of the man who still the waters
that's a long title, right? but, it is true...2010..a year of new things, some great to accept, some not so easy to accept, but, if we put our hands into the hand of the man who still the waters, we will have the peace that passes all our understanding, we will have the confidence to say I receive.

preparation for change
just wanted to know if you are prepared for changes? well, for myself I am slowly adjusting to change, the beginning of this year changes came so fast for me, of course I was expecting it but did not think it was going to be the speedy gonzales kind....hahaha...I guess this is why Jesus said blessed is the man that when his master comes home he will find him awake and still working...hmmm, gives me something to think about. changes, they are great for us, otherwise, we would be some boring folks, right?
great day to ya!
great day to ya!

love the rain
it changes the look of things, brings fresh water to the earth for us to drink later, makes plants grow and sustains life on earth. It cools down things when the heat of the sun is unbearable. It freshens the air we breathe. It also brings renewed strength to things on earth. That's exactly what the Holy Spirit does to us.. I thank God for the Holy Spirit. He's the Rivers of water Jesus talked about, will flow from inside of us and we will not be thirsty anymore when we have him. When we start singing revival in my soul, I don't know about you or anybody else...but, now that I think about it, that song is saying we are empty inside and we desperately need the Holy Spirit...I wonder if that is good? We should always be filled with the Spirit of God, his anointing should be in our lives all the time and everyday...if we do not fellowship with him like we should then we need to sing revival in my soul, other than that...we should be on fire and running for the Lord, if the Spirit of Emmanuel flows plenty in our veins...

how beautiful on the mountain
the rest of this verse says, "are the feet of those who bring good news." are you the bearer of good news or not? gives us something to think about right? I believe that in my pursuit for peace in my life, I need to be a bearer of good news. When I was growing up, I used to hear people saying, no news is good news...I've added to that this thing now, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything. There are many people who sometimes would take that wrong, probably thinking that you are a stuck up or something is wrong with you, if you don't talk...but, even the Bible said itself, "SILENCE, is golden. So, here's probably one of my most important choices to make at the beginning of this new year...a warm smile is enough, a wave also, but, if I don't have anything to say, I won't talk if we meet. And, if I don't, please don't think wrong of me...

peace, o peace wherefore art thou?
I thought today I was going to enjoy my nice parking space in town and after I will park my car then I will take a nice morning walk to my office. NOT! a small thing called the fuel pump sidetracked my plans...hmmm. So, I came early to work say like at 5am, fell asleep in the office (cause no one was in yet), woke up grouchy and peace, o peace wherefore art thou?
will try again today.....
will try again today.....

resolutions
I said to myself that for this year 2010, my goal will be to pursue peace in every area of my life, since then, there hasn't been a quiet day in my life. What I mean by quiet day was like a day that you wake up in the morning the environment around you is peaceful, the neighborhood as well as neighbors are quiet and you just feel good about everything. Now, I am not saying there is chaos everywhere, but what I am saying is when I said I will pursue peace, it's like I had to run after it and catch it. Well, it's 8 minutes till 12am, the beginning of another new day of the new year, so again, I am purposing it in my mind that I will again pursue peace. What I want is the kind of peace the Bible is talking about, the peace that passes all understanding and keeps our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.
are you too pursuing peace?
are you too pursuing peace?

how to succeed in 2010
Zerubabel and his hearing, this guy had some major problems with his hearing, there were two prophets who kept going to tell this guy what the Lord was saying, but Zerubabel paid no attention to them, Zerubabel had one special prophet that he wants to listen to, and this prophet's name was Zacharias. Zerubabel had his favorites, and whatever Zacharias said was alright with Zerubabel the other two? forget it! Well, as time went on, things started going down in Zerubabel's ministry and he was at the point of throwing in the towel, then one day the angel came from God and visited Zacharias and told him what to tell Zerubabel...the angel said tell Zerubabel..."it's not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.".. the sermon was right on today....2009 has come and gone, there's some things that we need to thank the Holy Spirit for: (1.) He used us (2.) He gave you some real juicy olives (when you strain the olives it will produce oil that can fuel the lamp (3.) We did not do the job by ourselves, the Holy Spirit was the Senior partner (4.) He anointed you.
I thought to share this sermon by Rev. Dr. Ieti Mageo to begin your New Year with. Now in saying that, if you look at the 4 main points of the sermon, you need the same points this year so you can succeed, because truthfully, it's not by might, nor by power, but by God's Spirit and that is straight from the throne for all of us at ABC this year....happy trails to you....

in Christ's service,
the sun by day and the moon by night
today, I had such a beautiful day cleaning, washing and just doing everyday chores, the sun was so bright but yet, it was not that hot, it was just right.
tonight, I went out to my backyard and just sat around, enjoying the evening breezes and checked out the stars, all the different constellations that were almost clear to see to the naked eye, just then the first rays of the moonlight hit us and it was beautiful, I bent over from where I was sitting and I could see the moon coming out from behind the small cloud that was covering it. I marveled at how lovely the moon was and it's light was just covering the darkness real nicely...
God is just an awesome designer. He gave us the sun during the day and then when the sun goes down, he gave us the moon to light our path so we do not stumble in the dark.
I luv it, don't you?

o se ua ia Keriso
it means whoever is in Christ, well let's see what happens for the person who is in Christ? The Bible said he/she becomes a new creature. So, let's look at the new...what is new?
a. the spirit has been regenerated
b. the mind has been renewed, it's no longer thinking old things but beginning to think new & great things.
c. the old habits are gone, but new habits are now set in place or we start developing new habits
d. the body is renewed...there is a new lifestyle setting, we don't eat the same way, we develop new ways of exercising the body and we pay more attention to what we eat and drink..
e. the whatever happens happens attitude is definitely on the way out, because we now write a plan with God's help for our lives, we put in strategies of how to follow our plan so we can achieve greater things...
f. our relationships are renewed, if it wasn't helping you out last year, it's time to move on and develop a new one.
so, o lenei tausaga fou ua tatou amataina nei, e tatau ona amataina e se ua ia Keriso i mea ua faafouina uma i lona tagata i totonu ma fafo.
Let's do it, in Jesus name!
