Jesus in my boat

the storm was rocking the boat, the waves were getting to be mountain high and the small fishing boat was being threatened of going down into the deep Sea of Galilee, someone remembered, hey, where's Jesus? another one yelled out, he's sleeping in the back, WAKE HIM UP!

hallelujah!

glory!

have a nice evening...

detoxing your eyes and ears

you are probably wondering how can I do that? I need to open my opens otherwise I will bump into myself and fall..whatabout my ears I want to hear what people are talking about..in actuality, you can detox both, it is actually a very simple thing to do.. wanna know how I got forced into detoxing my eyes? my hubby just went and stop the cable tv..I thought I was going to flip 'cause I love korean dramas. Well, after 2 months of it, I found out I do more reading and meditating now and I do not I mean HUGE, DO NOT miss the tv at all. So, my eyes are doing good, thank God! and my ears are also fine, Praise the Lord! now this one is a bit hard, because even if I am detoxed from tv, my ears were picking up a lot of dust and getting very itchy...so I am making a covenant with my ears that if someone says something I should not talk about, I will ignore it and or walk away. I have asked the Lord to help me to say the right thing at the right time when I hear something negative. As I get older, I want to keep on detoxing different parts of my physical being in the spiritual way.

have a great morning...beautiful here in Hawaii!

just thinking about the cross

One of my loves is to do research in genealogies and I love to delving into my parents family trees..this morning was so funny, I woke up and during my devotional time Paul's words grabbed my attention. "A o a'u, aua ne'i ou mitamita i se mea tau lava o le satauro o lo tatou Alii o Iesu Keriso, o ia ua fa'asatauroina ai le lalolagi ia te a'u, o a'u foi ile lalolagi." ....I suddenly realized I now am part of God's family, Jesus Christ made me part of his family when he died on the cross and rose from the dead. Praise His Holy Name! I thank God for my heritage on this earth but what is most important is my heritage in heaven through the Son of God. I am a daughter of the Creator of heaven and earth. I am a child of the eternal God. He had my name on his lips before I was even conceived and he made a wonderful plan for my life much better than my own earthly parents ever did.

Put it down on Paper!

As I sit here in my room waiting to go do an errand, it suddenly dawned on me, that we as human beings forget sometimes how important it is to document everything. We think our word is good enough, now although it might seem that, that intention is right, the best thing to do is to put everything down in black and white. God did that! I believe the reason why the Israelis had a hard time believing Moses was because the generations b4 Moses never documented anything. They passed the Word of God down to their children and from their children to their children by word of mouth, so the word got lost somewhere and God was like a myth to most of the Israelis by the time Moses and Aaron came into the picture. But, God! as He always does, prepared Moses and through His Holy Spirit inspired Moses to write and upon many conversations between God and Moses face to face revealed to Moses what happened in the beginning. So, if recording everything is important to God, it should also be the same with us Christians, right?

Listen, it took a Paul to inspire all the New Testament Christians to write down the life of Christ and all He did for us. The Holy Spirit also and how He came and started the great work of God's Kingdom and is still here on earth doing it, using all of us. Honestly, I believe the expansion of the Holy Book of the Lord is still being written everyday, it's written by the saints everywhere around the world and by you and me when we record down what the Lord is doing in our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit and in Jesus wonderful name.
So, when do we start writing? how about right now? every second of our lives on this earth counts and everything that happens in our lives is worth reporting because it matters to God who brings us through each day.

there is a way

it's better if you take one step at a time, then trying to clear the steps with one leap...

ea e sa'o le ga mea?...a tasi lau la'a, e te malolo la'ititi, ona la'a lea ile isi sitepu, ae a taumafai e fa sitepu e kilia ile la'a...ia e le manuia le mea e maua ai a ea?....

I'm saying this to those who want to attend school but can't because of other obligations, take one course at a time first, then another and another until suddenly you find out, hey, I did it..

Our new enrollment is filled with people from different professions like nursing to engineers to church staff members and we thank God for each one of them.. what they have done is taken the first step even though they have busy lives. Taking that first step is great...it allows God to lift up each individual's feet and carry them to the last step. The sky's the limit in ABC because God carries you on his wings....

Prison Epistles

All this time I have been reading these letters written by the Apostle Paul while being imprisoned, I just never got what he was talking about in a whole, I was grabbing at straws, a little here a little there and now that we are studying these epistles, I am amazed at the wisdom God gave Paul to address all the problems facing the churches and then even taking the time to
be an advocate for Onesimus with Philemon.

You are probably gonna ask me what does that have to do with me? well, actually plenty! what these churches were facing in Asia are the same things we are facing now. I am so blessed just studying these letters over again realizing that I have just been reading just to read, but I rolled right over the things that are beneficial to me as a child of God and believer in Jesus Christ. awww... thank you so much Holy Spirit for showing these to me again.

remembering

woke up this morning to someone calling, and I couldn't answer in time, whoever it was left a msg but for some reason couldn't access my vm...hope they do call back, what is all that noice I hear? sirens howling all over our neighborhood, went and stood at my kitchen door couldn't see any trucks or motorcycles but the noise was so loud like it was happening inside my house..I thought, don't tell me that it's another tsunami warning, great...we don't even have cable to see what's happening, we don't even have a radio on...came to the internet and thought surely there's some word there but when I looked at the screen, saw the pictures of sad people holding up pictures of their loved ones, looked at the time on the screen and suddenly remembered the sirens were howling at the exact time the twin towers were hit in New York. I remember it clearly as if it were yesterday. I have family in New York, probably like some of you, I remember the frantic calls trying to find out if my sister in-law and daughters were alright, thank God! one of them answered and said yes, just shaken from fear and shock..I remember trying to find out about my cousin's daughter and her husband working at the UNHQ..I found out later (4 days later from her mom in Apia), my niece walked without shoes from their building that was around the corner of ground zero all the way home(across from Manhattan) because the roads shut down and the subway was also shut down. I remember my husband's sister working for AA in Texas calling and asking if we saw what's happening, saying she just cleared the flight not too many hours before one of them crashed into the twin towers. I cannot forget because we were attacked by the enemy, and the very bones of my body shook because I knew from then on how important it is to stand firm in faith and pray for everyone and pray for this nation of America.

the hope of every minister of God

"For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin."2Corin.11:2,3

that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin....to me, when we work for the Lord especially in the pastoral field..the desire Paul had should be ours, to present those who we labored for to Christ as a pure virgin, no wrinkles, no scars, nothing bad ...at all.

glory!

How long do you pray for?

Is it 1o - 15 minutes, or maybe 20-30 (wow@ that's good), or an hour? ...with all the things going on around us, we need to spruce up on this part of our spiritual lives. Just want to share with you what the man who pastors the largest church in the world says and I quote. "As the Pastor of the largest church in the world, I know that satan tries to destroy me daily. If he could tempt me to take a short cut in my prayer life, I would be vulnerable to his attacks. I therefore cannot afford to miss even one hour of my prayer time, for I know that this is the source of my inner strength."

Time for a change....will you join me?

matagofie le mafutaga faale-agaga

it is absolutely beautiful when all God's children come together and lift up Praises to HIM. wonderful the love of God that just flows agreeably among HIS family. I wonder if this is what the Bible is talking, they were in one accord? there was the sound of pa te...praising God, the voices of the performers...mime performances, and many more with hands lifted up to the Almighty. Jesus said when we lift HIM up, HE will draw all men unto HIM. Glory!!!

how to get things restored to you

Job 42:10...the Scriptures said, when Job prayed to God for his friends, the Lord restored to Job all that he lost and much more.

In my opinion, that's cool. we don't have to avoid anybody, or frown at them, or talk stink behind their back, but doing what Job did pleases God and what we lost: things like a broken heart will be mended, our dignity or respect will be restored, relationships will be restored, etc...

Imagine that, just praying for those who hurt us, or disrespect us, or used us, or gossip about us, or think little of us.....God's word said Job prayed for his friends and then everything he lost was restored to him and more..I mean double. Let's change our game plan now..I am, will you? hope so..

see you maniana in the Lord's care.

Stop! Look at yourself! Is there anything new with u?

If not, then you are due for a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit.
First, find out why you are so frustrated and critical,
Second, find out why you are so unforgiving and full of spite,
Third, find out why you can't stand the other person or their success,
Fourth, find out why you do things and leave them incomplete
Fifth, if you think you can do better then, let me tell you what one wise leader said, "go do something better and greater than the person you criticized."

awww...I love those words of wisdom....
