The law to being a successful person

Psalms 1:
I believe the Holy Spirit revealed this secret to David for everyone who wants to be successful.

1. Do not walk according to the advice of a person who has no fear of God
2. Do not take the same position with those who live a careless life
3. Do not sit in the same seat with those who do not honor God.
4. But, love the Word of God, read it and think about it all the time
When you do that, you will be refreshed all the time, steadfast in your faith and thinking, you will be producing good fruit in the right season, you will not dry up and you will be successful in everything that you do.

may the Holy Spirit help us to see this.

Being part of God's work

means, be the answer to a need. Sunday, God used a missionary who works among the native american indians to remind us, God wants us F.A.T. not the true meaning of the word, but in taking the letters apart, it goes like this, F- Faithful in small & big things; A- be Available to God for His purposes and then, T-Teachable, we don't know everything so have the kind of heart that listens well and take advice. When we become F.A.T for God, you will find that you are actually an answer to someone's need, maybe not right away, but it will happen as you pay attention to what God gave you, HE will do something you never expected that will also surprise you because you did not do it, He just went ahead and did it HIMSELF. Remember Joseph in the Bible? He was FAT for the Lord, and he became an answer to all of Egypt's need and while he was taking care of that matter, God did not tell Joseph that HE was going to use him to answer the need of Israel. God just went ahead and brought Joseph's brothers to Egypt to buy grain, and the rest is history as they say.

When we work together to build the kingdom of God we will be met with some surprises on the way, God will use whatever HE gave each of us to be the catalyst for HIS purposes in other places or people we never even thought of. But, then, that's why HE is GOD! because His ways and thoughts are much higher than ours and much better than ours..
Isn't it? Praise His Holy Name..

bless you today reader... be

what are we doing to ourselves?

It suddenly dawned on me, that maybe the so-called bible teaching we are doing in Sunday Schools as well as Bible Studies maybe doing us more harm than good. Oh, oh, don't get all red in the ears, but hear me out. If we listen very closely to most Bible Teachers which I am including myself in this little circle, when we teach or preach, it's like we are delivering motivational speeches, they are fine and I am not saying they are bad, BUT! if one of us asks our students a very simple question like, who is King David? I guarantee you they will not know the answer. It doesn't matter if they are singing, jumping, shouting the name of Jesus, most of them have to think for a good 10 minutes before they can give an answer that is totally wrong. That's why I am asking, what are we doing to ourselves? I am encouraging all of us teachers as well as preachers of the Word of God, let's get back to teaching the Word of God as a whole, not pieces from here and there, what I mean is book by book, memorization is great. I love it! Gotta get back to doing it again. That's what God meant when He told Moses, have the children of Israel put His Word in their minds, mouths and ears. I think it was sometime last year, I heard one of the best teachers of the Word of God teach on the Book of Acts, the whole class recited from memory the outline of the book of Acts, it was moving, why? because that is of God. He is His Word!

when good is bad

did you know that there is a time when good becomes real bad for a person? the way I see it, not everything good that comes our way is the right thing for us. We might think it is good because the deliverer of the message is a man or woman of God. Be careful here. God knows our hearts and reads every thought in our minds, so he knows what he wants for you and knows what you want for yourself and as we ask for His wisdom to guide us, His Holy Spirit will reveal to us the will of God and if it is the same as what you have in your heart, he has confirmed then what you have known all along. Your heart will not be troubled, your mind will be at peace and you will start seeing God's hand moving upon your situation. Then you will know that the good you heard and accepted is really good for you. On the other hand, there's a chance that the person who might have brought the seemingly good word to you and make it seem like they really care and are opening some great doors for you, have been used by the devil to stop you or delay you from fulfilling God's purpose in your life. Now that my friend, is good that is actually bad for you.

Time is of the essence

Our lovely islands are not lovely anymore, physically it might look that way but spiritually it is crumbling. But, are we going to be depressed about that? I say NO! All the things that are happening now are not new things, they were there in the time of Jesus and even before then, the Prophets prophesied against it, the apostles warned the church about it. So what do we do? Well, the answer is clear in the Word of God. Be alert and Pray that temptation will not overtake us. Do the job that has been given to us on this earth, Preach the Word of God! Pray for the Salvation of all! and Do the good works of Jesus Christ, everywhere. We have no time! the whole earth groans and any goal we set is to do the things that will point everyone and anyone to Jesus.

love's simple notes

woke up this morning, remembering it is Valentine's Day, went to the restroom (pardon me) and in the dark of the room, although I could see the faint light from outside fumbled around the desk to turn on the lamp on it. Found the key of the lamp, turned it on and when my eyes got adjusted to the light, I was pleasantly surprised by a bouquet of flowers laying next to our desk and a pale pink balloon saying, "I love you" on it just silently swaying to the breeze in the bedroom, a smile lit up on my face and I turned to thank my hubby who was snoring away, and in the light of the moment, he just said, you welcome and kept on snoring...heeheehee...hope your Valentine's Day is as sweet as mine...

this aging process

you are only as young as you think...hmmm. I'd like to know who initiated that phrase.....anyways, my body says, put more moisturizer on so the skin can drink and look good, my bones say drink more milk so you can get more calcium for strong bones and everything else just screams work a bit more, work a bit more, work a bit more, the collagen needs to be built up, the tummy needs some a tug so it can be at least a bit firm...this aging process, *(chuckles)* is just like our salvation, you gotta work it out yourself.

have a great week-end

unexpected favor...

what is that? I don't know about you and what your answer is, but for me it's when God's goodness follows after you and just open doors before you, it's when the supernatural starts happening in your life, what I mean by that is, suddenly connections are made with people you've been wanting to meet, people you know can make things for you. People you know can help make your dreams come true. Unexpected favor is getting something you know you don't deserve...

a hui ho...have a blessed week...

a funny thing happened on the way to a massage..

ok, ok, ok, don't get crazy ideas now...hahaha..it's like this...
We came home from a special service today, wonderful word of God, beautiful babies being dedicated, a servant of God and his wife were installed to be a Pastor, and there was joy everywhere, now even though all this and more of God's goodness followed us home, my feet were sore! and I mean sore to the bone. So, I ask my other half for a foot massage, besides the soreness of my feet, there was a knot on my right shoulder as well and it felt like a case of carpal tunnel syndrome was working itself out in my hand, I noticed then , that while the sole of my left foot was getting a massage there was also a knot on my left heel and when it was being massaged I felt the pain of that knot on my heel all over my body, then I fell asleep, about a couple of hours later, I woke up wide awake, the pain on the soles of my feet was gone and the knot of nerves on my right shoulder was gone. It suddenly dawned on me this is exactly how the body of Christ is. No matter how blessed we are, there are still some in church who are living and carrying pain in their lives. Unless they ask for help or someone gives help unconditionally, the pain of those people will not go away. And, if that pain is not taken care, it will flare up and cause pain to other areas of Christ's Church.
